I just talked to my mom, Nancy, and she gave me an update on my brother. She said that the doctors and nurses are constantly saying how miraculous his situation is...thanks for all your prayers, I'm sure that's the reason.
Anyway, Nancy said that he has 17 broken bones in his arms and legs alone, that doesn't count any of the bones in his face (which is everything except for his forehead). He is having reconstructive surgery on Wednesday, and they have to have pictures of him before his accident so that they can do their best. He is so handsome.
He is out of his coma. He can't talk because his jaw is wired shut and he has a tracheotomy, but he somehow can write notes to communicate. ( I don't know how he does it with both arms being broken, he is amazing).
I guess I just wanted to give you an update and thank you for your prayers. I KNOW it is helping!

Hey Mindy! It's pretty bad that I have to read about your brother on your blog and not have you tell me in person! We never chat! Anyway, I am glad he is doing better but it sounds like he has a rough road ahead! Damn Drunk Drivers. Forget MADD, I say DDD is better!
