Bragging

Is it wrong to brag? Thoughts? ....I really don't like to do it, and I don't mean to. What is the difference between being really proud of an accomplishment and being annoying with details of those accomplishments. It is in that spirit that I write this, so please don't take it the wrong way.

I just ran EIGHT miles! You can take that as "that's cool"...or "gag me now" (wow, that sounds pretty 80's doesn't it?!) Anyway, I don't mean to brag by that, but just to give updates. It seems when I publish it it becomes more real and I have to keep pushing myself. I am trying to train and go injury free, so I am taking the mileage really slow, only increasing 1 mile every couple of weeks. I'm too old to be hurt, and besides that, I'm a pansy, as I said before, and I don't like to be hurt.

I find that when I run later in the day after eating protein and carbs my runs are better. And a nice, cold Gatoraid after a run makes me feel really good! So there you go...today's update.

I can't believe that Spring Break is already over. It was really fun. We CLEANED our house, it looks great now. We played the game of Life, a lot; and spent lots of nights just visiting and laughing. These kids are hysterical. No wonder I like hanging out with them! :) Oh, and we watched LOTS of Basketball! Rex is REALLY happy that West Virginia won today!

Have a great day!!!
