The Week

This has been a sad weekend for me. Mandy went back to school yesterday! Kale performed in her last dance recital last night, and I have been bawling like a baby since Friday night because of it all. I hate it that my kids are leaving. They are so fun and right when it starts getting REALLY good, they leave.

The recital was fantastic. The girls did such a great job. Riann was in the recital also, and she just looked so pretty and graceful. Riann and Kale had such a fun year dancing together. Riann is really going to miss Kale next year. I just hope she can make some good friends and have fun for the rest of her high school years. She is so shy and kind that she often gets over looked and it breaks my heart everytime I see her struggle. She is one of the best people that I know.

Steve and I are hiking the canyon again on Friday. Wish us luck. I haven't been working out quite like I should. I promised myself that I was going to do LOTS more for my legs, but no, I have been a bit lazy in my workouts and I might really be sorry. I don't know why I do that to myself, it seems I always do. Anyway, I'm really looking forward to trying it again. It is amazing. We are going with a bunch of people this time, should be really fun. The McNeils are going, they are the smart ones and doing about 10 miles. The rest of us are doing the whole thing again, Terry Young, Don Goodman, Tom Bigham, and Steve and I. There might be someone else...not sure of that.

Mandy, Kale and I are planning on doing a half marathon on July 24th in Salt Lake City. Yeiks. Once again, just saying it makes me commit to doing it, so that kinda scares me to post it! Its got to be done though!

Well, pray for us, I know I will need it. :)
